Hazard and Mourinho |
the studio guests on this month’s Friday
Night Live earlier tonight on Chelsea TV .
The duo joined host Gigi Salmon on the show,
discussing a wide range of subjects and
answering supporters' questions.
Hazard, who signed a new five-and-a-half year
contract at Stamford Bridge yesterday, gave
his reaction to committing himself to the club
until 2020, while Azpilicueta spoke of the
importance of Wednesday’s victory against
Everton.
‘The win against Everton was wonderful for
everyone,’ the Spaniard said. ‘We could feel it
was a special moment in the stadium. It was a
very tough game and we had to be very
concentrated, so the goal from Willian was very
important.’
Azpilicueta, who revealed his idol growing up
was Luis Figo, went on to assess his own
individual form this season.
‘For me the most important thing is the team
and we are in a good position,’ he explained. ‘I
feel I can improve, I’m doing everything to help
the team and I’m enjoying it when we win.
‘I have the chance to play with big players, like
Eden, so it’s easy for me to get the ball and
give it to those players.’
In the clip which can be viewed above (subject
to Fan Club Plus registration), the two players
went up against each other in a game of table
football, sharing five goals between them.
Hazard, when asked to pick his favourite
Chelsea moment since moving to the club,
plumped for the hat-trick he netted in a 3-0
win against Newcastle United last season, and
jokingly claimed he would like to have 10
children and manage his own football team
when he eventually hangs up his boots.
He also revealed he still speaks to close friend
and former team-mate Demba Ba every day,
while Azpilicueta praised John Terry for the
manner in which he helps new players settle in.
