The 23 year old Ghana international passed medicals at the Laboratorio Albaro on Thursday morning after arriving in Italy following participation at the just ended 2015 Africa Cup of Nations with the Ghana national team.
Acquah signed to join Sampdoria on loan from Parma for the rest of the season on transfer deadline day when he was still in Equatorial Guinea with the national team.
The player was in Germany after leaving Ghana on Tuesday evening to attend to his wife, Amanda who was involved in a motor accident last week
Acquah is expected to be unveiled as a Sampdoria player to the club's fans next week as focus shifts to the Italian top league tie against Chievo this weekend.
