Daniel Skrtel denies stamping on De Gea

The two clashed late in stoppage time 
Sunday 22nd March saw a game between two of English most successful clubs, Liverpool and Manchester United at Anfield in a Premier league game.

In the second half additional time, Liverpool defender Daniel Skrtel in search of an equaliser appeared to have stamped on United's goalkeeper, David De Gea.

The incident happened in the stoppage time of the game.

The Referee Martin Atkinson didn't see the incident but three former top officials after reviewing the tape said it was a sending off situation.

The defender was charged by the Football Association for violent conduct on Monday.
The Slovakian defender however had until Wednesday to respond to the charge.

Skrtel if found guilty will be suspended for 3 - games which will see him miss Liverpool's game against Arsenal on the 4th of April, a game against Newcastle and FA Cup replay against Blackburn Rovers.

Steven Gerrard will miss all those games through suspension.

The "heated" game saw Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard being sent off for stamping on United's Ander Herrera after just 40 seconds after his introduction into the game in the second half - he replaced injured Adam Lallana.

The game ended as Manchester United came out triumph with a 2 - 1 win away at Liverpool.
Goals from Man Utd's Spaniard Juan Mata - who scored a brace and Liverpool's English striker Daniel Sturridge with a consolation for Liverpool deep inside the second half.
